As a family photographer in Charlotte, fall is one of my absolute favorite (and busiest) times of the year. It’s a beautiful time for reflection and thinking about how much your family has grown. For many families, it’s the one time every year to come together to document those changes to share with loved ones during the holidays.
As the days slowly start to lengthen and the chill in the air slowly starts to warm up, I can’t help but look back and reflect on the season of warmth and color. Each season has its perks but the golden glow of fall is one I always love.
The Aida Family
I love meeting new families during fall sessions and this was no exception. I met the Aida family at one of my new favorite locations just before the sun started to go down. It’s a gorgeous spot for a few reasons, but I especially love the spot near the water and how the color reflects the surroundings. The colors in the trees almost look like spring blooms, but that golden glow is all autumn. The perfect environment for a snuggle with the ones you love!
I love the colors mom chose for their wardrobe to fit the space. With tones of camel and cream, these three looked cozy and elevated for their session. Mom decided on a chic outfit of her own, and we chose a shirt from the studio wardrobe for Dad. Don’t worry Dad, the studio wardrobe isn’t just for Mom, it’s for you too!
Baby Elias was sweet as sugar as well and had the sweetest curls. He had just turned ten months old and had so many new tricks to show off. Clapping his hands was a favorite for this little one, and I love that you can see in his big brown eyes how proud of himself he was for doing big boy things.
