Happy New Year everyone! I hope you’ve all had a relaxing start to your year. I’m back in the office this week after traveling, and I’m so excited to be leaning into the freshness of a new year as a maternity photographer in Charlotte. I can’t wait to help you celebrate new beginnings and milestones in 2022 – starting with this sweet maternity session.

Hannah’s Maternity Session

I couldn’t be more thrilled to help these two celebrate the arrival of their first baby with a beautiful outdoor maternity session in Charlotte. Hannah has been so lovely to work with and the only thing brighter than the gorgeous sunshine on this day was her sweet smile. These two were so fun and everything came together perfectly.

Like any session, we started with a bit of wardrobe preparation. Hannah chose three dresses from the client wardrobe as options since we couldn’t meet beforehand for a try-on. Her final pick was this beautiful flowing maxi dress with an off-shoulder strap. The buttons on the front added just the right bit of texture! It was a perfect choice to show off her growing belly and was stunning with the foliage of our location. Dad chose a shirt from the “dad” wardrobe to pair with khakis and the always dapper leather shoe. With wardrobe planned, all that was left to do was bask in the sunset light and celebrate their growing love story with the addition of a sweet little one.

First Comes Love, Then comes A Gallery Wall

Together we decided on a beautiful gallery wall for their home. We started with one of their favorite images from their maternity session. Next, we will add favorites from their upcoming newborn session. I cannot wait to see which images will be their favorites!

A gallery wall can be the perfect way to bring a cohesive piece of art to the walls of your home. It can also be an ever-evolving story that grows as you do. From each session or milestone, you can continue to grow your gallery wall and see it as a reminder of what these sessions are all about- your family and the legacy you’re building together.

Your family photos deserve an honored place in your home. One of my favorite aspects of this blessing of a job is holding your hand through the entire process!
