​​A new baby brother makes a family of four (five counting their sweet fur baby). I couldn’t be more thrilled to help introduce you to the newest member of the Connor family – sweet baby Steele. As a Denver, NC newborn photographer it’s the sweetest experience to be able to photograph new babies with their siblings especially after getting to know their families. While at times, it can be a bit challenging working with little ones, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. 

Sessions with Siblings

Wyatt is the sweetest big brother and was so gentle with his new baby brother, Steele. But like any toddler during a session, his interest began to wane not too long after starting. It’s completely normal (and expected) for your toddlers to get a little antsy during our session. 

One way we remedy this is with a bit of strategic timing, and having your toddler arrive separately from mom and baby. This allows time for mom to settle in, time for us to get baby settled, and no extra time spent in the studio for older siblings. That means less time for them to lose interest before we even begin. The beautiful part about this approach is it allows everyone the time (or lack of) that’s just right for them! Plus, once family images are done, they are free to go home while we finish up with mama and baby.

Snuggly baby Steele, you’re just about as sweet as it gets. I can’t wait to watch you grow and I already know you’re so loved by your big brother, Wyatt! Sessions with a newborn and a toddler can have challenging moments, but seeing the final portraits just melts your heart. Mama, I promise it’s worth every minute!
