I got the first call a little after 9 pm that mama was in labor in the hospital and had just received the epidural. She was not far enough along for me to head out yet so I packed up my bags, got myself ready and waited for the final call to head out. A little after 3 am, the call came, they were ready for me to come over. I arrived shortly thereafter at CMC University. I had to get escorted up to labor and delivery to met the parents. She was in a lot of pain at this point and had to get a new epidural. After that she was able to get a little rest. A few hours later the more active labor started and after a long hard labor they were able to welcome Gryffin into the world. This is a birth story of parents trying to get pregnant for over 7 years and finally received their baby boy right before Christmas. What a wonderful present new life is.
