A Winter Wonderland Wedding

With a wedding date of December 15th, you know it will be A Winter Wonderland Wedding and this one didn’t disappoint. 74 South at Moretz Mills was truly decorated like a winter wonderland. With Christmas trees in every corner, wreaths hanging in the tall industrial windows and candles and lights everywhere, it almost felt like I stepped into Narnia except for the snow. So many details were planned by the bride and her mom.

Ryan and Kevin met at work in Atlanta where they both live. As Ryan got introduced to Kevin “the new guy” she immediately thought he was cute. They started eating lunch together and getting to know each other. When Ryan finally had the courage to ask Kevin out, he turned her down but later came to his senses and the rest is history.

Kevin proposed to Ryan in December of 2017 in Blowing Rock during a family vacation. During a visit to the Rock and their observation deck, there was a present wrapped on a table with white table cloth. He said it was a gift for Ryan. Inside was a Swarvorski crystal bell with the words “Ryan, I just have one question” written on it. Kevin got down on one knee and asked Ryan to marry him. And the rest is history again. Why a bell you ask? Ryan’s grandmother was called Belles and she recently passed. They were very close.

The bride and her 7 bridesmaids spent most of the day hanging out and getting ready both in the bridal suite, part of 74 South and at Vitality. I love how Ryan incorporated the dark green dresses and fur wraps for all her bridesmaids. It truly tied it all together nicely.

Even the church where the ceremony for Ryan and Kevin took place was filled with white poinsettias and the dark green accents. As you scroll down to see the image with the kiss, look closely at the ring bearer!! Hilarious!

Ryan and Kevin’s first dance was a full blown, rehearsed, and practiced dance. They did fantastic and it was so much fun to see. Everyone enjoyed it. This was a great party with a band and there was always people on the dance floor.
