I don’t share a huge amount of personal information on here but I am going to give this a world. This week was life changing for me and our family. As many of you know I have been employed by Bank of America for pretty much my whole career. 20 years to be exact this March. Thinking back on all the different groups I have been part of, all the people I have met throughout the years, I am pretty amazed what it has offered. I have met some of my best friends through work. Well all this changed this week and we all know that change is the only constant if you are employed there. I remember many years ago when I was part of the banking center channel, there was so much change all the time we all were encouraged to read the book “Who moved my cheese”. It is a great little book that I still have and plan to read again.
It all came to an end this week. My role was eliminated and I received a severance package. It is a good package and it will give me the opportunity to grow my photography business into a full time job.
For the past few years I have been running my little side business of photography and I love it, I love my clients, I love how I can give them memories that last a lifetime. This opens the door to take on more clients, provide additional guidance for clients, an overall better client experience. I love how I can capture tiny little toes and strands of hair on newborns in those first precious days of life. They will never be this tiny again and life just flies by for parents in those first few weeks. Now they can go back and look through their album and see how tiny they were. I also recently starting taking on wedding clients, another milestone in my clients life. We start with your wedding, through pregnancy and then your newborn session. We capture each of your most precious milestones. I am excited for the future and what it holds.
I am also excited to be able to greet my son at the bus stop every day. We will have extra quality time, time for homework and all those things that comes with being in 1st grade this fall.
Contact me if you want more information on wedding, maternity or newborn sessions. I am now booking late July and beyond.
Wishing you the best in your new chapter!!
Thank you Erin
It is so scary but so rewarding to have the opportunity to focus all of your energy into building a business doing something you love! Good luck and congrats 🙂
